Extra Protection With A Door Stop Alarm
If you are concerned with all around security, don’t overlook the simple stuff, like a door stop alarm.
Everyone knows the effectiveness of a door wedge or door stop. So why not add an alarm to this simple device? When I first saw the Super Door Stop Alarm I had a “I wish I would’ve thought of that” moment.
The Super Door Stop Alarm is a simple yet effective device whose function is twofold. The door stop alarm is placed under the door to act as a wedge that keeps the door from opening. When an attempt to open the door is made, the door stop alarm alerts you to the attempt using a loud audible alarm. This little device’s 120 decibel alarm is so loud that the intruder is usually taken by surprise and leaves the scene. The door stop alarm will stop sounding when the pressure is released from the pressure plate.
The door stop alarm uses one 9-volt battery.
Make Some Noise With A Personal Alarm
A personal alarm is an electronic device that when activated emits an ear-piercing sound that wards off an attack by hurting your attackers ears. The loud and high-pitched sound emitting from the personal alarm also attracts the attention of others nearby.
There is no doubt that making noise and attracting attention will cause a stalker or a possible attacker to stop their pursuit. Just as screaming, yelling for help or yelling “Fire” will cause others to look in the direction of the noise, the personal alarm will also attract attention.
Selecting the right personal alarm can sometimes be a daunting task since there are so many models available. Personal alarms can be worn around the neck, put on a key chain or simply kept in a pocket or purse. There are also personal alarms that double as a door alarm that sounds when some one puts their hand on the door knob on the other side of the door.
